You know something is definitely up when you go from club hopping and house parties to baby showers and kids birthdays… Arrgh, If I go clubbing these days after like 2 hrs I’m ready to leave so I don’t even bother. I don’t feel old but I do feel the lifestyle change. Still tryna decide if it sucks or not.. Anyhoo, HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all daddies out there.

  1. Hi Tony, I think you are great! You a young black woman doing your thingy and at the same time you are not afraid to tell the whole world that you are in love and very supportive of your man. Though it seems like something is still missing. I want to share with you an amazing experience I had over this past weekend. I am like you and unlike you in many ways. I am a young black woman doing my thingy and supporting my man 120%. We are like Bonnie and Clyde except we dont tote guns and pistols (LOL). I on the other hand prefer my peace and quiet, I am always out there with my friends and my idea of a chill time is just me and my boo, TV, ice cream and movies. I also have never really liked the clubs, too much boozing, smoking and sexing for me, besides it seems like Usher’s song “Love in this Club” is more appropriate for what you see nowadays. Give me a good ol’ house party with songs from way back and watch me shake my groove thing on the dance floor. Anyhow, back to my experinece, I have been in this FUNKY place where I have been trying to figure out if I am supposed to be going forward or backwards. Noone needed to tell me something was up. See my skin no longer glows, sounds crazy but when that happens I know something is up. But I had an encounter and I just have to share. If you have not heard this person you need to find him out: Fela Durotoye. My life has not been the same since. He is an accomplished business man and so is his wife; Tara Fela Durotoye. His words just set you back on track and gives you a focus. Please look him up this could help you. What I heard this weekend was not just spriritual, it was practical and packed full of nuggets and gemstones of ALL kinds. I am a changed woman and I am approaching my life, my business and relationships from a different perspective. Permit me to do this for you, let me send you his tapes/CDs from this weekend to listen to. All I can say is that you will not be the same.
    Just thought I could help.
(BTW I am here in the States, so it makes it easier to send it to you)
